Made-to-Measure Fitting & Styling FAQ
Does URBBANA offer bespoke suits?
URBBANA offers made-to-measure tailoring. A base pattern is adjusted using the client's measurements and design choices; this is different from a traditional bespoke service in which an individual paper pattern is drafted from scratch.
How much is a made-to-measure suit?
| Garment | Fabric tier | Price (AUD) | Construction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two-piece suit | URBBANA house and standard fabrics | From $1,900 | Turkey |
| Three-piece suit | URBBANA house fabrics | $2,395 | Turkey |
| Two-piece suit | Selected premium Italian fabrics, including Piacenza and Vitale Barberis Canonico | $2,700 | Turkey |
| Three-piece suit | Selected premium Italian fabrics, including Piacenza and Vitale Barberis Canonico | $3,295 | Turkey |
| Two-piece suit | Selected Zegna, Holland & Sherry, Loro Piana or Marzoni fabrics | $3,390 | Turkey |
| Three-piece suit | Selected Zegna, Holland & Sherry, Loro Piana or Marzoni fabrics | $4,390 | Italy |
The $2,395 three-piece option uses house fabric and does not include Piacenza or Vitale Barberis Canonico. Those mills are offered within the premium Italian tier at $2,700 for a two-piece and $3,295 for a three-piece. The stylist confirms the exact cloth book and final quote before ordering.
Where are the suits made?
The $1,900 two-piece, $2,395 three-piece, $2,700 two-piece, $3,295 three-piece and $3,390 luxury two-piece categories are constructed in Turkey. The $4,390 luxury three-piece category is constructed in Italy.
How long does made-to-measure take?
Standard turnaround is approximately four to six weeks. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on availability, but URBBANA recommends beginning at least six weeks before the garment is required to allow the best experience and time for any final alterations.
How many fittings are involved?
The first appointment is the consultation and measurement session. The completed suit is then tried on at a delivery fitting. If adjustments are needed, URBBANA can arrange final alterations; some garments need no further work.
Is the fitting basted or unfinished?
No. The delivery fitting uses the completed garment rather than a traditional bespoke basted fitting.
Are measurements retained?
Yes. Measurements and order specifications are retained to support future orders unless the client asks for them to be deleted.
What happens if the fit is wrong?
Alterations are offered where a completed garment requires refinement. In rare cases where the result is significantly different from what was ordered, URBBANA can provide an appropriate remedy, including remake or refund where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Are the jackets fused?
No. URBBANA made-to-measure jackets use half-canvas or full-canvas construction, depending on the selected category.
Does URBBANA make suits for women or unusual body shapes?
Yes. URBBANA works with men and women across a wide range of sizes and proportions.
Can URBBANA help with cultural weddings?
Yes. Styling can include classic or expressive wedding designs, heavier ceremonial fabrics, jacquards and briefs for South Asian, Middle Eastern, Chinese and other cultural celebrations.
How much is a custom hand-beaded jacket?
Made-to-measure hand-beaded jackets start from $2,500. Complex designs may be approximately $5,000–$6,000 depending on the pattern, materials, coverage and handwork. Ready-to-wear embellished jackets are priced separately.
How do I get an exact quote?
Book a consultation at Portside Wharf, Hamilton. A stylist will confirm the garment configuration, exact cloth book, construction location, timing and final price before you order.
What does the one-year guarantee cover?
URBBANA garments and shoes are covered for one year from purchase against manufacturing defects that cause catastrophic garment or footwear failure under normal intended use. This voluntary guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which may apply beyond one year.
